Friends of the Library

friends5Who are the Friends?

The Friends are a non-profit volunteer citizens group who work together to support and enlarge the scope of the public library service in the City of Wixom. They believe in the value of books and reading in the lives of the young and old and look to the library as an active, dynamic, educational force in the community.

What do the Friends do?

The Friends work to create public support for an expanding library program. They aid in public relations by informing the community about the library's services and by communicating the needs of the community to residents of our City.

Why are Friends needed?

The Friends offer many opportunities for interested citizens to become active in their community. Committee members (of the Friends) work on fund raising and service projects.

Can I become a Friend?

There is always a need and a job for anyone who wishes to become an active friend! To become a friend of the Wixom Public Library, you can pick up an application at the library or give us a call at (248) 624-2512 for more information. You can also contact us through our website at any time!
